Atheists: it's clear your heart has been hardened since you are incapable of believing in God. Does it hurt?

I have a profound love for humanity and support the need to be responsible for oneself rather than reliance upon some vaporous unproven myth. It hurts to know that so many people will die never knowing how it feels to be the one in control of their own lives.
