Questions about the book "The Gunslinger" by Stephen King?

to start, the dark tower series is based on complete fantasy. there is a certain amount of magic involved in all of them (bieng hypnotized by a spinning bullet, etc.) but most of what you get is futuristic science in a world that is moved on. there are some sexual innuendos and encounters in the dark tower series, and some shocking events (human baby bieng eaten in the 6th book) but i really don't think it will make you question religon at all.
