Is gin and tonic a manly drink?

I was at a bar yesterday (i'm a girl by the way) and I ordered a gin and tonic with lime of course and all my other friends were like "that is such a man drink" I mean I'm still gonna get it because I love the taste but is that a typical stereotype of it? like scotch on the rocks I mean
